My story

A man wearing sunglasses, a green cap, and a striped hoodie crouches next to a sitting German Shepherd dog on a grassy field in a park.

Ever since I can remember I wanted my own dog. My family had one when I was young but it was a different time and he got left in the yard basically year round. Doodle was his name. I always loved when my Dad would let him in for the night but that didn’t often happen.

Fast forward and I’m pretending to be grown up and I get my first dog. Morgan. He was the shit. Went everywhere with me. He got lonely when I wasn’t home so I got him a friend. Daisy. That started this whole thing. I’ve owned 10 dogs total since then. All different kinds. Shepherds, pitbulls (I’m on #3) Huskies, labs and whatever Gus was. He was just a Gus haha.

Then there was Noble. That’s the handsome guy in the pic. Found him via Rocky Ridge Rescue in Arkansas. Long story short: he came from a terrible abuse case and I drove from NY to Arkansas in a snowstorm in February to get him. He was terrified of, well, basically everything. It was a struggle. I had 5 dogs at home to introduce and Noble didn’t want anything to do with anything except hiding under furniture. (This short snippet doesn’t do his story justice) Long story short his favorite thing ended up being riding in my Jeep with the top off standing on the center console head in the wind. Free. He was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever known.

And he broke me in two when he went away.

He’s why I named my training business ‘nobly’.

10 dogs. 27 years I’ve had them. He is the reason I’m here doing this. He made me a better person

I have studied as an apprentice of Jerri Scherff CCPDT Board member and creator of ‘The Open Minded Approach’, as well as a professional mentorship focusing on Behavior Change with Mattisson Skoog IAABC-CDBC, CPDT-KA

The world is a crazy place and dogs have big feels, anxieties, fears and confusion just like we do. Really though they just want to love you and feel safe.

My goal is to help create harmony with you and your dog. I want you to have a true 2 way companionship that will last their whole life. Which always go too fast.

Let’s make sure their time with us is as good as we can possibly make it. For them. For you. For your relationship. For all the days we have with them.

Which always goes too fast.
